The verdict for the Petknode
animal cruelty case, where cats and dogs had been discovered to be left
starving at an illegal boarding center, will be announced tomorrow.
The trial began on
June 11 and was followed by many animal lovers, particular those whose pets had
been boarded and mistreated at Petknode.
At the trial, the
defendants Shahrul Azuwan Adanan were jointly charged with 30 counts of
neglecting responsibility and the welfare of the pets boarded at their center.
The pet owners pleaded
guilty.
They face a maximum of
six months' jail, a RM200 fine, or both for each offence upon conviction.
