Pakatan Rakyat will table their Belanjawan
Alternatif, or alternative Budget, today at 2pm in Parliament,
reported various opposition lawmakers.
The Opposition has stated that
their Budget will be people-friendly, in an attempt to counter the likely
political surge of the Government one Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak
announces the national budget on Friday.
Mainstream news sources have had
a flurry of cover stories about Friday's Budget announcement, speculating at
the likely effects of a populist budget in terms of boosting electoral support
for the Najib administration.
Analysts predict that the
Budget will play an important role for the Barisan Nasional government in
leading the way to dissolving Parliament and holding polls, which must happen
before March next year.
